Swamp Park and Larry Crowne

After a whole day of Law and Order SVU and some house cleaning we decided to venture out to a lake right opposite the hotel.

It was such a find considering we've been here for 6 months and didnt know about it. There was a reason no one told us about it, its more like a swamp than a lake but it does have a nice trail around it.

Located just north of County Road C and east of Cleveland Avenue, Langton Lake Park features nature trails around Langton Lake, 2 ball fields, a soccer field, picnic areas, 2 large play apparatus, and nearly one mile of scenic trails.

Langton Lake also has an accessible fishing pier and is great for canoeing.

After a quick snack at Chipotle, we went to see Larry Crowne at the local AMC in Rosedale. The movie wasnt much for a unique plot but the characters were very likeable and both Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts were really fun to watch. Overall it was a better movie than Super 8, Green Lantern or Transformers.

You come out of the movie happy and craving pancakes.

We took our craving to a Diner Car called Mickeys in St Paul. Decent local grease spoon, but I think I like my waffle house pecan waffles better. The Diner was really something to look at though.. it had been around for 70 years and had a real history behind it.
